Margarita Cuellar - Apr 14
Then and Now
Worried that I might fall, in the chaos of it all,
Late for the bell, always trying to compete.
In the chaos of high school, I often see,
But being ahead of the curve, in college I must be
I find my path, at a different pace.
Morning rush by, like a race,
Yet early college offers an easier pace.
Late to arrive, yet always prepared,
In this dual journey, I must begin.
High school's path, I always ride,
But in early college, I chase the dream.
Late, but ready, in the grand scheme,
Aiming high, chasing my dream.
Yet ambition's fire inside,
Guided by dreams, and new beginnings.
Now looking back, through the lens of time,
I must take a step forward, now not worried
that I might fall.
